hey guys i was just curious. sometime last month i blew out a tire. so i went to through on the spare from the back, but when i went to through it on it wouldnt fit over the brake. now i bought the car used. is there anyway that the guy changed the brakes/rotors to make them bigger? or has this happened to anyone one else with the stock brakes/rotors?

Check to see if you car came factory equipped with 4-wheel disc brakes. Look for a sticker on the side of the drivers door with a bunch of 3-digit codes and look for J65 (4-wheel disc option.) or Y87, (I think that package includes 4-wheel disc.)
Maybe the previous owner of the car for some reason lost the original spare tire and just tossed in any spare they could find before they got rid of the car.2006 Tiburon

Are you sure it was the caliper getting in the way? I know that the 98+ have a different size hub than the 93-97's. The hub is the round center of the axle where the lug studs are mounted. I had to slightly grind the center of my 2000 WS6 rims to make them fit over the hub of my 96 Camaro.
