Hey all, I got my 18x9.5" chrome c5's a week ago. I am currently looking for the cheapest tires in town and will most likely get 275/35/18s and have heard some having rubbing problems. I REALLY wanted to lower my car with the eibach pro kit and replace my shocks with bilstein hds or somthin pretty stiff but im really concerned about rubbing problems and stuff...what can i do to avoid rubbing with 18s AND lowering or is it going to be impossible to accomplish that??

If you do lower it, i wouldnt lower it too much. you SHOULD be ok with the pro-kit because thats prolly the least amount of drop you're gonna get. It'll prolly be close though. I'd talk to your local tire shop about it and see what they think.

I was thinking the same thing? You don't want cheap tires, especially in a low profile. The tire is the only thing preventing those "expensive" rims from getting dented by potholes as well as cushioning your soon to be stiffer ride once you lower the car.
im just a hischool student who only works 3 hours a day for 8.50 and dont make much and once i got these rims i realized i had very little moolah and so if im going to get them on before the high school car show, im gona need me some tires fast! dont have enough time to save up for parellies or anything, i ended up buying yokohama 265/35/18s they are a step up from the standard ones...
