  • lower control arms?

    I can either get the lakewoods for 115+ shipping or I can get the both 1les for 120+shipping. My stock ones are broken and I might as well upgrade. I dont want expensive ones. I dont want any extreme vibrations either. What do u guys recomend.

            unless your running 10's or better (in the 1/4) boxed is severe overkill. The added weight is bad. Tubular will work just fine. I have BMR chrome moly adjustable LCA's and they are great. However I got adjustable because i have a 12 bolt and needed to re center the wheels in the body. You don't so just a normal Poly bushing, tubular LCA will work great. Thats the order that I like. I feel spohn is just slightly better then BMR, and I like UMI but don't have any hands on with thier products.

              You think boxed is overkill due to weight, I think Chrome moly is overkill due to price. I would buy some Boxed BMR's.

                Why? your never going to break tubular. Why add more weight when tubular will do fine. Chrome moly is even better because it's stronger while weighing less. Even on BMR's site they say that boxed is overkill. You being too cheep to buy chrome moly is not a good argument for suporting boxed.

                  well i searched and many people say the lakewoods are awesome. Also many people have told me to stay away from tubular. Now im confused so which is better.

                    you have 2 choices. Tubular or boxed. Both will work. Tubular is lighter and smaller. Boxed is heavier and larger. Neither one will ever break on on. Maybe people (V8 people) have broken the lakewoods. For this reason, stay away. no V8 should be breaking a LCA.

                      listen to the man preach
                      he tells it how it is
                      my car still doesnt deserve chrome moly tho
                      lol
                      i wonder if the tubular would bend/flex when pushing the limits to where you would rather need boxed.
                      go w/ tubular

                        tubular is never going to bend or flex on you.

                          box = track only really
                          Tube = street (for the cruves) and track they work fine

                          the box one's don't flex as much and under hard cornering it does not plant the rear tires as well

                          check out www.ftpp.net they carry about everykind for our cars.
