i have a 89 firebird with a 2.8 and i crashed it right on the passanger headlight by a pole and i am rebuilding it now. the frame had to be pulled out an inch and to the right an inch on the passenger side of the car where the accident, and i put the car on a flat surface and it needs to go down..how would i go about doing this? i was thinking of taking a backhoe bucket and forcing it down on the car while it is jacked up witha board going across the frame, please give me some suggestions.
well man when it comes to pulling a frame you can do it 2 ways, prettymuch find something anchored well (a tree) and something that can do the pulling (wench, come-along, or in your case a backhoe) you are going to have to stop alot and do lots of measuring to get things back to being square, and if you are asking about how to do it I am doubting you will ever get it close to being right (though maybe I'm wrong)
OR
you need to take it to a shop and let them put it on the machine and pull it back out to spec. Personally I'd go that route and once that is done go get some subframe connectors installed to sure up the car.
pulling a frame is nothing to play with espicially if you are gonna be using this car for a daily driver
