ok i gonna be gettin new tires i was wondering if this size would fit on my salad shooter rim or 16-8 the tire size is 245 45 16 will it fit? width wise

The 245/50's will fit just fine. I also had the 255/50's installed for about a year and never heard a single rub inside of my wheelwells.
