    whats a quick step by step for removing rear springs only, leaving the shocks on?

    Not gonna happen without use of explosives. It's only one fastener at the bottom of each shock.

        Actually it is very possible without loosening the shocks. But if its your first time, then just put the car on jackstands on the body, letting the rear end hang free. Put a jack back under the diffy to support it and take up some slack. Remove the shock bolt on the diff and then let the diffy come down slowly using the jack. The springs will basically fall out. Not difficult at all.

                Rear springs can be removed and new ones put installed within 7 minutes and 49 seconds. Our record :D

                      The shocks do not have to come all of the way out, obviously. Just take the nut off of the bottom of the rear shocks and free them from the axle. Then, when you lower the axle, you can remove the springs.
