    Re: Painting Calipers, new brakes

    i ran into a snag...

i cannot get the back left rotor off, it is getting stuck on the parking brake...
also, i noticed a few small chips missing out of the right parking brake pad... anything to worry about?

when i got my rotors turned when i bought the car, i watched them do everything, the front drivers side was stuck on there and he just took a hammer and whacked the crap out of it to get it off, i wouldnt worry about it, you probably just got a rock in it, no biggie

          Re: Painting Calipers, new brakes

the next snag in my plan came up...
the parking brake is fixed, everything is painted...

but my camaro decals for the front calipers will not be here until next week :(
so i guess ill have to clear the back, and get the rear all put together (my pads and rotors will be here tomorrow)

and wait a week to get the front put back together...
good thing i cant drive, or this would be an inconvience!
ive got black reflective rear decals coming, and front white camaro decals too

which brings me up to my next point... where can i buy a new stock front grille for a 98 camaro?
          wanted thread

                Re: Painting Calipers, new brakes

got my vinyl, put em on... put on 1 coat of clear, and down comes the rain

i wait a few hours, and go back out cause its nice out now...
fedex arrives with my box, so i first put another coat of clear on, and then
start putting the rear rotors on
right when i start to put the calipers back on, the damn rain starts AGAIN

there is a small chip in one of the rotors, pics soon...
                anything to worry about?
it is at the top, on the inside
ill get pics as soon as the fkin rain stops

                      Re: Painting Calipers, new brakes

my pretty front calipers arent so pretty anymore
                      :(

i ended up having to bleed the brakes in the front cause a piston popped out (my fault)
and, made a mess of my calipers

the white letters arent so white anymore
they dont look too bad tho
                      pics soon

                        Re: Painting Calipers, new brakes

well, got everything put together... and...
i need to bleed the brakes again...
there is almost NO pressure behind the brakes

i guess i just didnt do it enough
                        but they look nice...
                        gotta clean my wheels next

nice job! but besides it looking really good, it makes the rest of the underneath even dirtier, lol good job... i think i'll be doing the same soon.
