anyone tried the "new and improved" tires? they look decent but they've always seemed like a cheap poor preforming tire.

Can't say I have tried the "new and improved" one, but I sure hated the old Cobras.

those just came out and are suppose to be for the perforamance crowd. I haven't tried them yet or heard people using them yet, but they are fairly new yet.

            Re: cooper tires

after I Supercharged the bird I had them and thought they sucked (IMO) I ended up going with the Nittos, I am sure they will be fine if your car is fairly stock though

              Re: cooper tires

the zeons seem fine but do like to follow dips in the road but that is due to them being directional

I like them and have had no problems myself except having the guy mount two of the tires the opposite way because he did not look that they were directional

I have also heard good things about falkens 512's

                  Re: cooper tires

I have the traction t/a on my car right now. Good overall tire at a reasonable price. Good dry grip, good wet grip and very predictable as to when they will break loose. They also seem pretty good as far as wear goes. If you are looking for an aggressive race or summer tire then they won't be enough for you. If you are looking for a daily driver/ sporty all season they are excellent.

I'm happy with my Pirelli's. They are an awesome performing tire for me.

                        Re: cooper tires

I've had the Zeon ZPT's for about 14,000 miles now. They're alright, but I've tried them at the track a couple times and it seemed like I hooked better with the stock Goodyears. Although these still have a pretty good amount of tread on them, and look like they're going to last a while longer (I only got 23K out of the Goodyears).

I was going to get the 2XS's, but they didn't have them in their warehouse. I figured the extra tread life on the ZPT's was worth it for the same price. Can't beat $430 out the door either.
