Are these good tires?

I went to a tire shop today and told them I wanted some tires that had good performance and were going to be driven on every day and here is what they suggested, but I have never heard of them:

Rizen Raptor Z
P245/50R16
Mounted and balanced: $484.29

He said they are a subdivision of Michelin.

What do you all think?

If I were you, I'd look on the www.tirerack.com reviews.
They rate the tires and show the weaknesses, etc..etc..
I love my BFG Traction T/As, very good for traction, will last forever..

if you look up the survey results or what ever at tirerack for ultra high performance all season which i would consider that group because of the performance you want and the weather you experience, the top tire is the Avon Tech M500 A/S. it comes in that size you want which i have and it is definatly everything its said to be and more. I got this tire last august or so and it has performed perfect in all condition and the wear is just wonderful.

I asked about those he quoted me like $169 per tire!

I checked out tirerack.com but I figured it would be abouy the same price with shipping and all.

169 is outrageous. if you buy the tire i got, it will be around 110 per tire. 100 a tire and 40 dollars shipping for the 4 i bought.

I remember paying around $90 per tire (give or take) when I got my traction t/a. Shop around and see if you can get a deal from another shop when you decide which tire you want.

that is a pretty penny, but then again i spend about the same after all is said and done on my perilli p zero nero m&s!!

I had almost bought Rizens once, theyre made by Michelin but are trully bottom of the line. They're a little lower on the scale of good than a Cooper. I recommend you find something better for the price, like a Yokohama ES100.
I almost got mine from Big 10 tires. I guess theyre cheap and new, but I'd look for better if it were me.

thats alot I paid less than that for my toyo proxes 4, but they were on sale at les schwab tires
