so i put Eibach springs (pro kit) on my car. i went ahead and changed out my rear shocks and front struts at the same time. however, i couldn't get the shocks/struts i wanted do to special order, so i put Monroe sensotrack (sp?) on my car. it handles find, but it sounds like my front suspension is loose. it rattles when i hit bumps. everything is tight as hell, and I'm wondering if anyone knows what is causing it? is it just the cheap shocks up front? they were 75 a piece, and i wanted to get kyb's, but again, special order and my car was already apart. thanks in advance....

edit: so i just got back from Firestone. one dude said that when the new struts were going on, there should have been a washer that put the bumper stop higher up..... i think that terminology is right. anyone concur?Last edited by 99BlackMaro; 05-30-2006, 07:23 PM. -

also check your calipers, mine rattled before, those little metal retaining clips can be loose and rattle like a mofoComment

nope it's not those, it most def. some sort of suspension. i've already had my brakes checked, and i have new rotors, calipers and pad since feb this year.Originally posted by bahComment

update... some "cup" was loose and now the sound is supposed to be gone. i haven't driven the car yet, but i'll see if that fixed it....

FIXED! Cradle on the lca was loose. Now it sound like normal. :banana:Comment

Doing well. I'm averaging about 50mpg per tank right now. Mini mods on the suspension, and that's about it. Miss the power of my Camaro, but right now, I don't really miss the fill up. It would kill me right now, with my commute.... but then again, it'd be fun as hell in the mountains and hills now. :DComment

Jeeze. 50mpg would be nice. But I wouldn't give the Camaro up for it. I swear man, one of these days I'm getting a Z and it's going to look exactly like your old maro. I would have got the gunmetal c5s still if I hadn't found such a deal on my c6 z06s. The suspension on the car is really coming together and it's more and more fun every mod :)

Cool man. I'm glad someone liked what I did to my car. I enjoyed it greatly. The Prius is called "magnetic grey". Hit google, you'll find plenty of images. Plus, I think i posted pics when I first got it (March of 2007).Comment

Yeah, I thought it was silver or grey. Well at least it gets good mileage :P You like the car as a whole? My uncle has one and didn't seem to be too fond of it, but I'm not sure why.Comment
