I need some advice on adjusting the parking brake on a 2002 Firebird. Here's the dilema:
The passenger side pad rubs in one place on my brake rotor. It rubbed on the old rotor(and eventually heated enough to warp the rotor), and it also rubs on my newly installed rotor. The 2001+ firebird doesn't have the adjustment "dial" to change the clearance of the pads. They are supposed to be self adjusting. I tried applying the e-brake several times to see if they would adjust, but no go.
Is there any other way to adjust the brake to give me more clearance? I'm afraid that if I loosen the brake cables, the other side won't engage.
