Question about lowering springs

I am installing the rear lowering springs on my car today and wanted to know what all needs to be done when lowering the rear? I believe its just to bolts on the bottom of the shocks right? Then just knock out the springs...correct me if im wrong

soundslike you got it.. just drop the axle, release the bottom of the shock, drop it a bit further, pop out old springs, in with new...

jack up your axal remove the nuts, lower axal, put new springs in, jack up axal making sure that your springs are sitting right, put nuts back on, lower axal.
