I've been leaning towards black zr1's for my arctic white 2001 Camaro and after reading some of the info on the boards was thinking of P255/45R17 on the front wheels and P275/40R17 on the rears. Would all this fit without any modifications? I'm looking at the 17x9.5 front and 17x11 rear zr1's.

Re: Thinking about new rims, a question
The 275/40/17 will be a bit smaller than the 255/45/17. The rears will be about .5" smaller in diameter. In order to get a balanced tire diameter front and back, I would use either of these two combinations:
255/45/17 front
285/40/17 back
245/45/17 front
275/40/17 back
I wouldn't run a 275 width tire on an 11" rim. That's stretching it pretty far especially with a low profile 40-series tire. The 285's would fit better but is still stretching for a wheel that wide. Have you considered going 275/45/17, and 315/35/17? That's what I've got and run with no problems on my '02 Bird(although offset has some to do with it). You'd probably have to modify a bit to fit 315's with a camaro offset(+50 in the rear I expect).
If not, I would just get a set of 4 17x9.5's. You could get 275/45/17's all around and be able to rotate. If you wanted the staggered look, you could get away with narrower tires up front even with the same width wheels all around.
