  • KYB AGX + what springs?

Ok, so I've decided to install shocks and springs.

After a bit of research, I've decided I want to get the KYB AGX setup. My reasons are:
    1. They are adjustable. I do a lot of different kinds of racing so that appeals to me more than, say, the bilsteins.
    2. They are inexpensive. I can't afford anything costly right now, which is why I'm not getting Konis.

So, I've got the shocks picked out. Now I need to decide on springs. Basically my question boils down to this: What height are the AGX shocks going to work best at? I'd like to lower a bit. Do these shocks work well with a lowered car? Who is running AGX shocks with lowering springs?

    Any recommendations on the springs?

I have the agx shocks and eibach pro-kit springs and i love it. The shocks seem to work very well with a lowered car. The springs lowered me around 1.5", just like they claim to do. However, eibach springs as far as I know are progressive rate springs and alot of people dont like that. I think H&R springs are a good alternative if you dont want progressive springs, but i could be wrong, i cant really remember.

But yea, all in all i really like the setup and the stance is great. Check my cardomain for before and after pics, and my thread i just made that has some new pics you can see the stance on.

I have the Eibach Pro-kit with the AGX' also and I love the stance (not too low) but one thing, I live in New York and the roads are horrible and for me it is a very rough ride. That being said, when I drive on decent roads, The car handles great. Just something to think about.

I have the AGX shocks with H&R Springs. I love the setup but it's a lot stiffer than most people like.

          But they're adjustable right... 0-10 I think.
          Tell me if I'm correct.

Do the H&R springs lower you any?

Adjustable 0-8. The springs alone will stiffen the suspension up alot though too, but the shocks also make a big difference. I believe H&R springs lower you 1.5" all around?
