I am pretty competent when working on my car, but i could not get the rear shock top nut off inside the car. It just kept turning when i was trying to remove it. Any suggestions?

i cut off that old plastic guard on the shock itself then locked some vice grips on the shaft, it'll catch against a side when you are turning, and then the nut comes right off

you need to stick an allen key in the top and then use a wrench to lossen it up
