Alright, i have a 95 3.4 Camaro and i'm looking to get new wheels/tires for it. I went to to the local Les Schwab and picked out the American Racing 505 Torque Thrust 2s in 17x8 which they told me was the right size. I got 275/40/17 tires in the rear with 245/40/17s in the front. Well today when i went down there to get them put on they didn't fit. They stuck out about half a foot from the side of the car. Something about my year camaro having a weird front wheel drive offset?? We also tried putting on a 17x9.5 Z06 replica wheel which also did not fit. They said it had nothing to do with the tire sizes i wanted but the weird offset. They said i needed to find a wheel with a more negative offset because any wheel they had was too positive of a offset for my car. Now do they not know what their talking about because they are making it seem like i can't buy rims for my car. Is it not possible to buy rims for 93-95 Camaro/Firebirds? We've tried the C5 Replica, C6 Replica, Z06 Replica, and the Torq Thrust 2s which are the ones i'd rather have on. Can anyone help/explain this to me and suggest any wheel sizes to take to Les Schwab. Thanks in advance

Re: Les Schwab Trouble, need help!
Has anyone with a 93-95 Camaro have trouble finding aftermarket wheels for it? The Les Schwab manager told me he's worked there for two years and in all that time he's never had someone with a camaro come in buying wheels/tires. I don't want want to buy the rims/tires online because i'm scared of the fitment, can anyone confirm for me if the American Racing Torq Thrust 2s or any of the corvette replica wheels like the Z06 or c5 will fit on a 93-95 Camaro? Because Les Schwab is telling me those wheels don't fit at all.Chris
1995 Camaro 3.4
K&N FIPK
Flowmaster American Thunder, Magnaflow Cat
Audio: Kenwood Head-unit, Sony Amp, 2-10\" Bazooka Els

Re: Les Schwab Trouble, need help!
there are like 5 guys on this board with z06 rims. search it and you'll see them in the appearance sub-forum. i have never heard of front wheel drive offset. and if he hastn seen one person in two years with a camaro its probably cuz he works 10 hours a week. go here: http://www.rsracing.com/tech-wheel.html#backspace figure out your backspace and then compare it to wheels you find online. keep in mind you'll still have a little space on the rear tires. get under and see how much. if you're still gunshy about it, go somewhere else, that guy doesnt sound like he knows what he's talking about. his JOB is to find you wheels that fit, so you shouldnt even have to be asking.2000 3.8L Camaro A4 Pewter Y87
K&N Filter, SLP Ram Air kit, Eibach Pro Kit, Flowmaster 80 series, Silverstars, NGK plugs and MSD Super Conductor Wires, Electric Water Pump

Re: Les Schwab Trouble, need help!
Well i went down to Les Schwab today after work and they gave me a "great selection" of wheels they say will fit my car. apparently any pre-96 Camaro/Firebirds have a really messed up front wheel drive offset. Which means that the only wheels that fit on my Camaro are front wheel drive wheels. Can anyone confirm this? If this is true i did like these 18" Enkei OR-52 wheels but i'm unsure if their too ricey or not.

Any opinions on these wheels on a black Camaro or suggestion on what i should get?Chris
1995 Camaro 3.4
K&N FIPK
Flowmaster American Thunder, Magnaflow Cat
Audio: Kenwood Head-unit, Sony Amp, 2-10\" Bazooka Els

Re: Les Schwab Trouble, need help!
What? Front wheel drive wheels? I've never heard of any **** like that. What offset are the rims your buying? You should need an offset of +50 through +58mm. Those should fit fine. I think anything down to about +30ish will fit too, it will just stick out. He might just not know what he's doing. I mean, ****, I've got c6's that are 17x8.5 +56mm front and 18x9.5 +58mm rear and I have a set of Milli Migra MMII's 18x8 +35mm front and 18x9 +28mm rear. both my sets fit great, there isn't any sticking out past the wheel well.99 WS6

Re: Les Schwab Trouble, need help!
i have a 95 3.4l
ive had salad shooters (stock) and now 35th ss wheels, no problems with offset.
in the rear though, the hub is slightly larger. i had to file out the inside of my ss wheels slightly.95 bright red camaro 3.4l

Re: Les Schwab Trouble, need help!
I know i've never heard of the 93-95 Camaros haveing a front wheel drive offset either. But when we tried on the 17x8 TT2s they stuck out about half a foot from the wheel well. We also tried the C6s in i think a 17x8.5 to and they stuck out alot also. I don't know the offset off the top of my head but it's more of a negative offset. The've been calling around all week trying to get it straightened out and they finally gave me this ****ty selection of wheels to choose from telling me these where the only wheels that would fit my year car. Thats why i might go with the 18x8.5 Enkei wheels which arn't that bad i don't think. I'll post some pics up when i get my wheels put on.
