All right so i went to a junkyard and bought front calipers, rotors, steering knuckles, hubs, and everything else that is in that assembly for 100 dollars a side off a 2000 T/A. everything in the assembly, minus the brake hoses. so my question is why can no one get them? ive called several auto parts stores and they said they either cant get them, or they have to special order them. for the special order there is no price, the guy has to send an email to the manufacturer and get the information. im gonna talk to the chevy dealer around here and see what he says. any ideas on where to go after this woudl be appreciated. thanks

Re: brake lines no longer exist?
If you are interested in upgrading to steel brake lines while you are at it they will run you around $100 from place like thunder racing.

Re: brake lines no longer exist?
I'm guessing that he's talking about a full set of brake lines, front to back.
You're probably looking to spend at least $400 for the dealer to bend them into their original shape. At LEAST.
If you have the time and money, go buy some long stretches of brake line hose and a pipe bender, then do it yourself. OR Get a replacement set from a j-yard.
If you just need the short pieces that run to the calipers, do what Hookie said.sigpic
