    Hmm...

Over the last couple months i've noticed a whole bunch of little noises popping up. Little interior rattles and wot not... nothing i was to worried about. Except this squeaking noise.

Its actually been going on for a little over two months now, and i've pin pointed it as coming from the rear only. It happens everytime there is vertical movement of the rear suspension, like going over a speed bump. It just makes this squeaking sound... exactly like an old matress. Now at first i figured it was just the shocks going out (cuz they were), but now that i've gotten them replaced and the sound hasn't gone (although it is a little quieter now) i'm starting to get worried. So, do any of you guys have an idea? I'm planning on getting the car lowered (springs) at the end of the week, so i'll have it looked at then, but i'd like to have an idea before that.

The seat thing is possible. Another common squeak is from the jack. Take the jack, the spare and the other misc things back there out and go for a test drive to see if the squeak disappears.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.

Squeaks can come from a variety of places in the rear. Don't use WD-40! It will solve the problem for about 1 day or so, but then the squeak will come back even louder.
When I had a squeak in the replacement rear I installed back in July of '02, I did this:
Took off the swaybar & panhard rod, and greased the inside of the bushings.
Then I took the rear springs off and greased the seats.

I don't know which of the components was making the noise, but I haven't heard a single squeak from the rear ever since:)

do you know if when the shocks were replaced you may have pulled the rubber insulating mounts that sit on the springs?

if they are gone, its rubbing against the body and it will cause a horrible squeak everytime your suspensoin moves...
