  • bigger tires

Quick question. I plain on running 17” rims and tires on my 02 firebird next spring. Now when I change to a bigger tire and rim I will have to program my computer to compensate for the bigger tire and rim. Where can I get that re-programmed? Can a dealership do that for me?

    Re: bigger tires

In short: No, because when you move up in rim size you decrease the size of your tire wall (lower profile tires in other words). So your overall wheel diameter will be the same. Now if you wanted to you probably could go with a bigger tire wall, but that is completely unnessesary and would cause complications like you already thought.
