what are the stock shocks?

I read the sticky on shocks and saw that the stock ones were ac delcos? Well, i was only looking at my shocks through my wheels and trying to figure out whether or not i should replace them. My car has enough miles on it now that if they are stock shocks, they should be replaced. I only know that my shocks are red with a black plastic type cap for the upper part, with no clear markings of a name, and the only sticker i saw facing out was a caution sticker..i don't know if this is enough info to decide anything, but i would like to know if they should be replaced or not.

The stock shocks (which you have - red body with black dust cover) are junk to begin with.... replace them with something better.

what are your suggestions on new shocks? i would assume if i replaced my rear shocks, i should probably replace my front shocks too, but i may wait and get new springs also when i lower it an inch or 2

Not sure exactly what you are looking for but KYB AGX or Bilstein HD's would be good quality performance choices for around $280-$330. Koni Sports (single adjustables) are great if you are looking to get a really good adjustable shock and don't mind spending a lot more money ($750+).

i have a 94' firebird and the shocks are orange. i have no clue if they are stock or not.
