  • bent rear axle? please help

I just had my panhard rod replaced a few months ago and it seems as if one side is slight lower than the other, i get a lot of wheel hop going over bumps especially in the back end, is this a suspension problem or something else?

Dude! I have this exact same freaking problem. Changed my rear springs and shocks to no effect. Why'd you change the panhard rod?

the **** literally snapped somehow, mechanic was baffled like "thats rare", car was swingin all over the place now its just a seriously unbalanced ride, I read in another topic about an adjustable panhard rod, but I doubt that would help much, this blows cause I know dealing with suspension is big bucks at the shop

        The Panhard Bar snapped?!?
Okay, who hit a curb while sliding?

If you snapped the panhard, you almost definately bent an axle, and who knows what other damages were caused. Got any pics of the broken bar?? ...this I gotta see!

If you drove the car with a broken panhard rod the lower control arms and swaybar would keep it from just sliding out from under the car, but it's possible they got bent or twisted from the stress. The shifting may have also unseated a spring which would explain your sag on one side.

yea I slid through some snow and hit a divider last winter but the car was fine, i'm gonna take it to my mechanic and get it inspected where you guys said the swaybar, lower control arms and axle
