What are the recommended/factory size of tires for 17" wheels on an f-body? I heard anything wider than 245 is not recommended.

I run 275/40/17 tires on my 17x9.5" C6 Motorsports wheels..... for the record, that's the same as the T/A WS6 tire/wheel sizes. i had 255x40x18 nitto 555 with 18x8 wheels and lowered the car 'bout an 1.5" and never rub or had any problems. i traveled az-ca no problems going 100mph.Comment
