22s was totally a joke, no bigger than 18s on an fbody for me...I got 17s and they look grrreat

What are the recommended/factory size of tires for 17" wheels on an f-body? I heard anything wider than 245 is not recommended.

depends on if they are the ZR1 wheels 17x11! or 17x9.5?? or 17x9??
I heard 245s look bad

I run 275/40/17 tires on my 17x9.5" C6 Motorsports wheels..... for the record, that's the same as the T/A WS6 tire/wheel sizes. Car is lowered about 1.5" too.

i had 255x40x18 nitto 555 with 18x8 wheels and lowered the car 'bout an 1.5" and never rub or had any problems. i traveled az-ca no problems going 100mph.
