  • Busted brake line

This is the second time my brake line has leaked (Rear Driver Side brake line screwing in near the tire). Its just a small piece maybe a foot long or less (cuz it's bent).

The first time i swapped it out from a used one from a salvage camaro/firebird junk yard. They doesn't have any more.

My dad said that maybe bumpy roads can cause it to hit against something and bust it open? (but its strapped on tight, its correctly installed)

This time its spraying out tons of fluid, not just little drips, right near the pre-formed kink/bend before it screws in, it comes flying out.

Bad luck, or do i have another problem?
I need to find a brake line (cheap/reasonable) otherwise ill have to take it to the dealer grrrrrrrrrr!

    Re: Busted brake line

buy a line that is long enough... bend it with a line wrench... or a hand help line bender... it is cheap... just make sure when you put the new line on.. start it by hand... the fittings are softer then the line itself.. and if you crossthread them (which can be done easily) you will create an easy leak

also make sure when you are bending the line that you do not kink it...

lube all the seals with brake fluid and make sure you bleed the f* out of that wheel
