Will rims from an 82 fit a 97? I found some chrome ones I like that claim to fit 69-82, but I would like them on my 97. I'm talking Camaros, not FireBirds, if it makes any differece.

OK, but are they the same offset and all? I don't want them rubbing the fender wells. They're only 16 x 8, that's 2" wider than stock, isn't it? And they have an offset of 0, what's the stock offest?

I'm pretty sure the stock size is 16 x 8

stock offset on a 4th gen is +56mm. You can get away with like +20ish or mabye even +60ish but that all depends on the width of the rim. 0mm is not going to fit. Yes bolt patterns are the same and the stock size is 16x8
