Ok im im not too handy when it comes to cars i can change the oil and i can fix stuff on the inside of the car but not anything that makes the car run. I want to paint my calipers red. And since i dont have a lift or anything im gonna have to do this one wheel at a time jack it up take off caliper paint it allow to dry put it back on and jack up another side i no its a pain in the *** but idc:cry:

How do i take them off?
What do i have to do when they are off?
Do i need a primer if i paint them red?
What can i use to really clean them before painting them?

to make it easier.. you dont have to take them off.

just put newspaper all around the wheel wheel and the caliper. then just sand it down.. wash it.. dry it and paint. let it dry and throw another coat on.

they sell a kit at most auto parts store. Should be in the teens but I don't remember exactly how much. I would recomend having an extra brush on hand because the one they include is a joke.

the one i got was a brush on and the results were pretty good. Haven't used a spray on before either way make sure you clean them good before applying paint. The kit should include a caliper cleaner.

I put quite a few coats of clear on mine and they just wiped clean when I washed my car yesterday. I had to get new calipers so mine were off and clean allready but heres how they turned out. http://forum.camarov6.com/showthread.php?t=72239

I also had the paint on with a brush kind.
