  • Whats better for drag racing??

I am making my Xmas list and I want some more suspension upgrades, here is what I already have:

    J&M STB
    UMI LCA's
    UMI PHB
    KYB Gas-a-just shocks

I dont really care too much about cornering, I am building this car for the strip. What is better for drag racing: 2 pt bolt-on SFC's or a new Torque Arm?

I forgot, what his name is but he was the 2nd guy to break into the 13 sec. NA. He experimented with different types of suspension and he found out that the stock suspension is the best for drag racing than anything.

I didnt notice any difference from my edlebrock Tq arm. and subframes wouldnt really help unless you are launching it pretty hard and only then they just act to reduce chasis flex.

Traction provided, the torque arm when adjusted properly will help a helluva lot more than SFC's will.

the torque arm will provide better gains when launching if you have the tires to grip off the line. Optimal setup for launches is: soft shock/spring combo to enhance weight transfer, rod-ended aftermarket adj. lca's to reduce axle hop/increase traction, large rear swaybar to help reduce driveline twist, torque arm, and a reinforced chassis, meaning sfc's and roll cage if needed.
