I need to buy some new front rotors, i figured i'd get drilled and slotted while i was doing it, but i want the cheapest ones i can find, these are what i see so far, are these worth it and are there cheaper ones?
They look alright, they have a lot of crosshatch marks on them so I'm not sure what that's about. Just remember you get what you pay for. If your looking for decent and cheap then get powerslot they'll be more than those but still cheaper than some baer's or brembo's.
Let's flip a coin. Heads I get tail, Tails I get head.
I'd check to see where those are made. Alot of the cheap stuff is made in china and is probably worse than stock rotors. I bet that's not the real picture of the rotors they are selling. Remember you get what you pay for. I got sick of warped rotors and put powerslots on. Two years and no warping.

i bought 4 cross drilled slotted rotors for about $170 + shipping from ws6store.
many over at ls1tech are saying good things about them. so far, i've read nothing bad about them. they use Dora blanks (whatever that means) which are OEM replacements. you can get the fronts for just $105.. they also let you decide if you want them blank, cross drilled, slotted, or cross drilled and slotted.
i've put a few thousand miles on mine without any problems. many of those miles consisted of some hairy driving and INTENSE braking. http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...fecb9f1e1cd113
I got the R1 concepts without the crappy pads and went and bought Hawk pads. I agree with everything youngsc said. Good luck with your choice though and let us know how it turns out
I got mine for $200 shipped from www.rotorpros.com. I got dimpled and slotted rotors for the front and rear, but you can choose any setup/cobination you want. Mail them and ask if 200 will be ok. I did, and they said "we can definitely do that for you". It's all good quality stuff too. No complaints, lots of hard cornering and highspeed lockups (some stops with the ABS goin crazy, some just solid hard stops) on them too, not to mention an autocross or three at the airport. They've held up really well, and still haven't showed the slightest sign of warpage over 8 months.
i understand the 98+ front brakes are bigger? i'm assuming that affects the size of the disc so why do some of these auctions say they are for all 4th gen fbods?
What is involved in resurfacing pads?
It should be easy enough to swap out these discs by myself right?

93-97 fronts are 10.5"
98+ fronts are 11.9"
Rotors can NOT be swapped without replacing the spindle and caliper.
