  • Can removing the front sway bar...

Cause any chassis damage/twist?? I didn't think so but just checking. I didn't see this being mentioned in any other threads so I thought I would ask. Seems like the only "negatives" is poor handling performance.

Lots of people do it for the drag strip, as long as you dont plan on road racing it i think youll be fine.

        Bad idea, because...

The gain at the dragstrip on a 200HP, 3400 lb. car is minimal.

The loss on the street is huge. You fine fbody now handles like a pickup truck. It could get you into an accident you could have avoided.

Try this experiment. Just pull an endlink at the strip and see how much difference it makes. The best test will be to put it back on for your very last run (and the drive home). Did it make you slower?

taking the front sway bar off is usually reserved for weight obsessed nazis that barely take their car on public roads. So, no it won't damage your car's frame by just driving it, but like V6bob said, you could get in an accident that you could have easily avoided
