its amazing how much different the ride is now with my new tires. no more am i sliding out from everyturn or sliding around if he hit some loose road or nothing i love it. best is, when messin around with me and my friends car, racin and stuff, the new soft tire doesnt spin, it just digs down and grabs the road shooting me off like a rocket. some of that probly has to do with the new size, i bought 245/50 to try out and i love em.

I enjoyed it so much when I got my new tires as well. Only problem is doing big burn outs is harder. I can't just stomp on the throttle and get them to smoke forever like before. Now I have to power brake to get a good burn out started. That is no fun :(

after hitting that tree in the rain, i fear sliding in my camaro.

unless im on dry paved road with nothing next to me, i love ASR!

i think i'm going to hit up some scca sponsored track/training day to get the hang of this rwd stuff again. then i can regain confidence to drift corners.

New tires ftw! Dumping my old all-seasons for my current tires was by far the best mod i did.

Yeah wide tires are the way to go. 315/275s keep my car stuck to the road pretty much unconditionally.

sliding=ftw...but sliding through an intersection not seeing a cop stopped 2 cars back...FTMFL!!!

yea this morning sucked...atleast he let me off with a warning because my tires are like freaking slicks and it was POURING down rain, he still knew what i was doing though lol.

                    Re: lovin new tires

if you guys were hardcore, you'd slide through intersections when it wasn't raining.

i got pulled over for drifting a corner in san diego's gaslamp district on a saturday night. i was going from a one way, 3 lane road to another one way, 3 lane road - and racing taxicabs on either side (i was in the middle).
lets see.. (this was in 1999 - two years before the fast and the furious movie ruined the scene) cop sees a lowered, ricey sounding fwd mitsubishi spinning the tires in second gear and drifting 3 lanes at more than twice the speed limit.
he was so pissed when he pulled me over, i remember more of the spit flying out of his mouth than his actual words.

keep sliding... because when you've had enough, it kills the fun.
