Re: 32mm/15mm sway bar
Well it will make it understeer worse. It's a poor setup. However it will flatten the front end some in turns.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

Because of better camber control the big front bar does not increase understeer very much, if at all. Don't take my word for it, take Sam Strano's (autocross champion and professional car guy). From the sticky above.
"Big bars do add wheel-rate, and too much can cause a loss of grip. You don't want to run real heavy (front) springs AND a really big (front) bar, that'd be too much. However, the better camber control and subsequent contact patch make more grip trumping the higher wheel rate."
Reading between the lines Sam's saying (note the word "trumping") you could get oversteer from a big front bar. That's definitely true on a McPherson strut car. Swaybars are not easy to understand, because what they do is so dependent on other things like suspension design.
Suspension mods are difficult to get right. The more you try to do with a variety of aftermarket pieces, the more danger you could create incompatibilities and actually make the car handle worse. Good shocks. tires, and chassis bracing will make the car handle a lot better with few problems.Last edited by V6Bob; 03-08-2007, 01:40 AM.2000 Firebird convert, chameleon/tan, M5, Y87, TCS, BMR tower brace and panhard, KBDD sfcs, 245/50-16 GSCs

Re: 32mm/15mm sway bar
I just actually installed the 1LE 32mm sway bar today. Still have the stock paperclip in the back and it handles great so far :excited:

Re: 32mm/15mm sway bar
I started with what you have right now, stock everything and added the 32mm front sway bar.
Overall it's a cheap mod and will give you a little more feel in the turns and will give you a little better turn in.
If you want to improve your ride save your money and put on a set of bilsteins first and see how much you like that. Also some good subframes installed by someone who knows what they are doing will help.
Do that before you put on sway bars or mess with the springs. I think you will notice a nice improvement over stock without making the car want to snap around.
When I added the big sway bar to my car I got a little better turn in/flatter in turns and also gained new t-top rattles due to the stiffend ride.
Do yourself a favor save your money put new shocks and subframes on before you start slapping on other parts. You'll be alot happier with the outcome if you plan to keep the car for a long time.-Brad

no "problems" to speak of but you might notice some new rattles as soon as you install it.-Brad
