haha, you guys are funny. silvachris1, thanks for showing me those subframes. They look like they have the samesetup as the KBDD, but with a more professional look and for a little cheaper than the KBDD. They are more than when you paid for them, $194.55, but I was expecting to pay about that. I guess you picked them up at the right time. Thanks, I like these. I think I will try a set.
I have the KBB connectors on my car to be honest when I took them out of the box i was quite disappointed, they don't look "beefy" at all.
Well they were paid for when they showed up at my door and I had them installed at a highly recommended shop. The guy did all the right things in the beginning, put the car in the air with the weight on the suspension, level, cleaned all the spots that were to be welded took his time and welded them up, all except for the 4 tabs which tie to the car under the doors. He said they aren't needed.
I welded them up myself about 6 months later.
I can lift the entire side of my car from one jacking point now. Yes it feels more solid, it has 107k miles and still has some t-top rattles with the windows down.
They never caused any problem working under the car. Also contrary to popular belief they don't weld up anywhere near the fuel lines. Also they don't weld to anything directly under the carpet where you can catch the car on fire. I guess if you had the welder cranked up and just let it sit on one spot you might be able to but I just don't see it happening.
They sit right up against the bottom of the car so I doubt you will ever scrape them unless you have some REALLY bad roads.
They did help the car but I still think they should be beefier for what you pay, they are made almost entirely out of square tubing that has some bends in it and IMO bending square tubing is just asking for trouble.
You will need to clean the coating off of the weld points and you will want to look them over as mine had some small rust spots in the original welds which I cleaned up with the dremmel and used some primer on.
If I were to do it again I'd proably go SLP but I have never seen them in person. In pictures the KBB's look much better than in person.

Lol, yeah. I ended up just getting the single tube connectors, the $126 set. I have no complaints about the set I got. We did have to cut a little bit out of the bracket before we welded them on, but my car has been wrecked, so things were off like 1/8" or so. I just wanted the weld gaps a little closer.
