  • ? on Wheels, what do yall think?

Im thinking of buying some 17x9.5 ZO6 wheels for my ride. I was wondering what offset and backspacing I need to get to keep the tires from rubbing. Ive searched previous posts, but still not sure just what would work since it seems most ppl get the 18's. Just in case it helps any, heres the wheels I want. Thanks in advance.

make sure when you choose tires that you try the tire caluclator on 1010tires.com. I'm in the middle of finding a set myself. You want to be within 3% of the original tire. This is just suggested. The biggest problem you'll face is odometer and you may have to get that recalibrated.

Corvette wheels are some of the rare wheels that actually fit our cars with few problems, so chances are with a 9.5" width wheel you'll be fine so long as you don't go overboard on the tire width. 275 should be wide enough.

Yeah, typically, Vette wheels bolt up just fine, without even worrying about backspacing and offsets. I'm running 17x9.5 "vette" wheels. If it's designated as a Vette wheel, or an Fbody wheel, you're prolly safe. If you still feel like you need to know the offsets, you can definitely find it on this site if you search enough. Either way, a 275 tire is gonna be wide enough, but I've seen guys go with wider wheels and tires too. Just a heads up for ya on those wheels..... if you can find a set without "rivets" get them. Believe me, they're a pain to clean up AND keep clean. These are ALMOST identical to my wheels

and those "rivets" look cool, but they're not, they're evil!
