leaf springs went away w/the 2nd gen cars. Are you also going to replace teh ball joints/tie rod ends durring your rebuild, since it'll be worked on anyway. Also, as I found in my ride, order up some new shock mounts.

Because if I can purchase V8 parts at a good price on the used market I could save a lot of money. There are a lot more parts available on the V8 side if you haven't noticed. Besides, it'll probably make the difference between me doing something and not doing something. I'm not going to spend $1000 on a car that's worth maybe $2000, especially if it's not an absolutely necessity, like a high performance suspension.

The numbers are hard to pin down. The best I can come up with is the series II 3.8l V6 is around 400-lbs, which they said is lighter then my 3.4l, so let's just say it's over 400-lbs. The LS1 is around 450-lbs. I don't see how these weight differences are going to make a dramatic difference. What am I missing?

It might be a good idea. I'm going to talk to my mechanic and see what he thinks. If they're in good condition maybe just a little lube is in order.

I like my adjustables, it is nice to be able to change the stiffness, although if your like me you don't have much time to change them since the car is too low to change it just anywhere... oh yeah don't do the sportline eibach cause the pro is low enough

Then you probably shouldn't be spending any money on mods. You will NEVER recover what you spend on mods. Buying "cheap" V8 parts is not the answer.

                yea, and............... :poke:

my 77 T/A had them in the back. No 3rd/4th gen had them unless the casasis was modded for some reason.
