I know this is a new thing on his website, but I'm curious if anyone has any details on his stuff, such as the brand of spring that he uses, what "revalving" a Bilstein HD actually does... I'm strongly considering going with the second handling package when I get the money to do so. It's either that or C6 wheels/tires... Tough decision!

    Handling Package 2:
    -Strano Performance 1.2" Lowering Springs
-Strano Performance Spec Revalved Bilstein shocks
-Chrome-Moly, double-rod ended, adjustable Panhard Bar
-Strano Performance Hollow Sway Bar set 35/22mm w/bushings
    -$1305.00

from what strano says on ls1tech, his springs start off as vogtland springs (fireball27 uses vogtland springs and agx shocks). revalving a bilstein hd basically changes the rates (maybe specifically rebound, but i'm not TOO sure) to account for the shorter suspension travel as bilstein hds were not meant for lowering (according to bilstein). on the other hand, i am running pro-kit springs on regular old bilstein hds.. we'll see what happens. if they start to go, i'm going for konis.

personally, i think the handling package 2 is a great deal.

I bought a set of regular bilstein's off of him... great guy to work with. i'd recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat.

I too run the popular combo of HD's and Eibach pro kit. not bad at all.. it wil lower your car by about 1.5" and stiffen the ride some

the revalving is exactly that. He's had enough years in the business to know how to fine tune the shock to better suit the springs... thats basically it. If you have any questions, id shoot him a messege on ls1tech, or email him. From my dealings with him, he was always eager to help and always returned my messeges immediately.

Looks like a great package for handling. Sam developed the spring rates, drop amounts, and shock valving to make a great autocross car. He's helped me a ton and I got my setup from him.

          Re: Sam Strano Suspension Packages

Shock absorbers have different effects when moved at different speeds. They are harder at fast speeds than slow.

The shape of the speed to shock force curve is controlled by valves. Revalving changes the shape of the curve.

NASCAR teams have a guy who does absolutely nothing but revalve shocks. Gets good money for it too, it's an art.

Ya, Sam is a great guy to work with, and his springs give our rides a perfect stance. He sells quality stuff, and won't try to sell you some you don't need.

              Re: Sam Strano Suspension Packages

Even just from what I've heard on this forum about Strano is that he's a great guy to work with. I'm really looking forward to getting this package sometime this summer. Seems like the guy has his ducks in a row, and it seems this combo would be better than posting yet another thread: "Which Suspension Combo is Best For Me?"

Do any of you guys know if anyone has bought any of these particular Strano packages though? I would like to hear some feedback from someone who has installed the package on their car. Thanks for the replies!

I'm sure his setups are good enough to win national autocross championships...
