Abs Inop

So the light came on while driving earlier. Could this just be caused from hitting the brakes too hard? Or from getting sideways then slowing down? I turned the car off and started it back up then it didnt come back on. Im not too worried about but I would like to know whats going on...

if it came on after you hit the brakes its just the abs telling you its re adjusting itself

That happend to me like a year ago and when the (Abs Inop)light was on the ABS didn't work,
if I hit on the breaks hard, it just locks the tires. that happend to me on the highway and it was scary...

u may happy crappy fluid. happened to me.i flushed the system, problem solved.

Ok thanks guys. I was trying to just get an idea of what it maybe. It'll be in the garage for 5 months next week while I'm away, so I'm not going to put anymore money into it right know.

My car did that and after some time it escladed to the point that if I give more than half throttle it will come on. I beleive I have a speed sensor bad or something of that sort. It always resets when I turn the car off and restart it.
