Can someone post a picture identifying the two bleeder valves on the ABS Hydraulic Modulator. I can't figure out where they are. I am pretty sure I was staring at them the whole time and just didn't know which ones they were.

there are no bleeders for the abs unit. you have to take it to a shop to be bleed. You have to get into the computer and command it to go threw a bleeding process then all 4 brakes need to be bleed again. inform them of what you have already done so their job can go easier and can do the best job for you.
use DOT 3. do not mix your brake fluid with lets say DOT 4 and DO NOT use DOT 5. that is for military type use
My Chilton Manual gives specific instructions on how to bleed the ABS unit without using the TECH-1 tool, there just isn't a picture that points to the bleeder valves.

looking at SI, it seems for our cars....or atleast a 2000, you bleed the system like normal and once the pedal is firm, then you test drive the vehicle ensuring you go over 3mph and if after this, if the pedal is spongy, you rebleed. I am reading what you are reading in my Haynes but I have no idea where they are. I'm used to newer vehicles.... Not sure how much help I have been
It's a 96 with ABS, no traction control, and only has discs in the front. The Chilton's manual has instructions for both pressure bleeding (using the TECH-1 tool) and manually bleeding if you do not have a TECH-1. The bleeding (from the Chilton instructions) is pretty much a normal bleed. I want to empty out the old fluid and put new fluid in. So from the Chilton instructions, I fill the master cylinder to the correct level, put the cap on, and then bleed the ABS Hydraulic Modulator from the rear bleeder valve on the hydraulic modulator and then from the front bleeder valve on the hydraulic modulator and then from the bleeder valve on the calipers.

I think what I circled in the attached pitctures are the two bleeder valves. Can anyone confirm this? If the orientation of the pictures is confusing anyone, the black pipe in the pictures is my SLP CAI.
