  • spring ?

this may be a dumb question but anyway. will springs for a 3.4 coupe work for my 3.4 convertible ? i thought they should be the same, but i'd figured i'd ask before i buy something.

    Re: spring ?

yes. However you should look into the spring rates and see what it is geared to. Some are made more for drag racing, others for handling, and still others are just poorly designed. 3.8 and V8 springs will work as well. In fact IMO strano springs are the best if you are looking for handling. They would drop the car 1.25" and unlike many other brands that is the actual drop you end up with. Remember you should do your shocks at the same time to properly control the springs. If you are unsure on shocks I'd be happy to help you on that as well.

      Re: spring ?

thanks man ! that's very helpful, i guess what i'm looking for is a spring that is going to drop my ride the most. i've looked throu the suspension gallery and it seems that the eibach springs is what i'm leaning towards. sooo, if i went that way what kind of shocks would you recommend.

revalved bilstiens from stranoparts.com if handling is most important and you don't have the desire for adjustable koni's. If not you can get away with the standard bilstein HD's (many do) but it's not really perfect. If you want to really be able to drop the car you can look into the coilover/weight jacker setup from ground control. That would allow you to pick your spring rates and ride hight to what ever you desire (you would need to specify your spring rates when you purchase, I suggest 600 front 150 back for handling). If you can't find what I'm talking about let me know and I'll email the links to you. It will take a good while to get them to get it to you though (they suck at getting stuff sent) but it is an amzing setup. Also if you did go that route you would need to get the koni DA shocks.
