I haven't...but, if you hold the wheel at lock for that long it's bound to happen....live and learn, dont do it again.

i never turn my wheel more then 1 and half turns, even though it goes alittle bit farther then that, i do it so i dont get to that wineing part and risk messing it up.

        donuts FTW!!

            Re: bagged my powersteering pump

I got a used PS pump off ebay for $25 shipped to me. (I blew mine doing donuts too)

It took less than a half-hour to install, PIECE OF CAKE, and now I have my power steering again :)

EDIT: Some times you can bleed the system, to remove air, this may work it may not, most likely you'll need a new pump

Dont replace it with another junk stock unit - either get a brand new one or (even better) go with a Turn-one high performance pump that will last longer than the car will.

No LS1 is not the same fit. If you call Turn-one or e-mail them they have one for the 3.8L V6's and will work with you. Cost is about $220 for the pump.

The only way to go when replacing the PS pump is with a Turn One unit...I just happen to have one new in the box for $250 including shipping..RP
