    Re: lca question

From a handling standpoint they aren't really needed unless you drop the car past 1.5". They are most deffinitely worth their cost if you want some better 1/4 mile performance though. Any reputable company that sells weld in relocation brackets is fine. UMI has great customer support so they might be a good group to buy from of if herron performance is running a sale on the UMI's you could buy from them (they also have awesome customer service). But any decent brand would be fine.

      Re: lca question

they came today! putting them on tomorrow.

they look good, and were shipped nicely.

they weight 3.4 LBS ( unassembled ) ,bushings arent in.

can the suspension be under load while i remove the old ones/put the new ones on? or do i have to jack it up?

Per BMR, the car has to be supported by the chassis, not the axle so that the wheels are in the air. Here's their instructions for installing lower control arms on an F-body.

yea, putting them under the axle would still put load on the rear susp.

so i have to use my jack, no big deal. from spraying the bolts just now it would definatly be easyer up in the air a little. thanks for the link.

Follow those directions (including when they said to regrease the bushings) and you should be good to go.

              Re: lca question

they werent the most fun thing to put on, but they went on quickly and look good.

its raining out so i cant go see if they killed my wheel hop problem. but a quick ride around the block didnt feel any different. bumps seem a little more noticable, but thats probally just me.

ill update tomorrow when its dry and i can play around alittle.

              thanks again t-punk.

No problem. You will feel bumps a bit more but it shouldn't be a dramatic change. I hope it got rid of all your wheel hop.

                  Re: lca question

loser- Did it look like there was any way to drill out the sleeves on those
lca's so they could accept 1/2" bolts? I made a poor decision on my current
                  lca's and I'm looking for a replacement.

I emailed them and this was one of their suggestions, but I don't want
to spend $120 and have it not work.

                  Thanks
