Yes it is possible to run a 11 inch wide rim. Some people do it with spacers and they roll the lip. Also I might add its kind of over kill question. Some LS1techers need a 11 inch wide rim and tires that wide to get their car to hook. But do you really need something that big. Also dont know if you realize how much a 315 tire cost!

            Re: 17X11 offset question

If you look on ebay, there are 17X11 rims in an offset that will fit your car. I had to do some banging in the wheel well and rolling on the fenders to get mine to fit, but it was well worth it! I've got some pics posted on here, I'm sure you could find the threads.

BTW... I get Sumitomo HTR-Z tires (315/35/17) from tirerack for under 100 bucks apiece.

i want to run a 17X11 rim with a 315 because it looks bad *** from the rear, i think ill buy a 17X11 and a smaller tire first to see if i like it and then go to a 315 later

I wouldn't recommend anything smaller than a 295 on an 11 inch rim. And it'll look kinda goofy.

alright, thanks. how much do you think it would be to get someone to get the wheel to fit, doing the spacer and rolling the fender or whatever else needs to be done

I have 17x11 w/ 315 on my 00 Camaro and didnt have to do any work to get them to fit. I am still at stock height, if ur vehicle is lowered you may have to do the BFH mod or get an adjustable panhand bar. I actually had more problems with the 17x9.5 in the fronts.

I really have no clue how much someone would charge for that...none of the shops around town would touch my car, let alone give me a quote.

But yeah, you actually will not have to do much modification if you're at the stock height. I was lowered so I had to do more banging. I'd recommend getting your fenders rolled at the very least though. That way if they ever do scrape the fender, they won't get gashes cut in them. And I actually 'rolled' mine myself with a baseball bat. I wouldn't recommend doing that, but you can rent or buy fender rolling tools and do it the proper way.
