OK, I've got a 97 Z-28 at my disposal. I'm swapping over the rear end, along with torsion bars (have a 1pc DS, this one's made for it, where my original was made for a 2pc), sway bars, and springs. How's this sound? Also, is there anything else I can grab off the car and put on mine suspension wise? Any idea how much stiffer of a ride I'll have with these springs?
Edit: Also, need some new rotors for the fronts, any suggestions? (bout to do a search, figured I'd ask before I forget)
for the rotors up front, i'd recommend some factory replacements..nothing special..just blanks..unless you've got some bigger rims to show off your rotors, which as i recall, you have stock rims..eitherway you're loosing performance with anything but blanks in stock size..but i'm sure you know that. I just get the blanks from carquest. 25 bucks a pop about.
I've got stock Chrome 5-spokes for right now :(, but may be getting some chrome ABS rims off a TA in the near future. I'll just pick up a set of stock rotors from somewhere. What about other suspension parts from the Z-28? Anything I could/should use that'll help me at the track or on the road?
The steering racks on z28s are sometimes different. I'm not sure if the z28 steering racks on a 97 are differenAnyone want to clarify. (Z28 steering racks let you turn the car more without turning the wheel as much.)

OK, how hard is it to swap out steering racks? My uncle has a 98 TA that he's taking all these parts off of and putting onto his 97 Z-28, and then he's giving me the parts off his Z-28. If he doesn't want to swap racks from the Z-28, I may be able to just take it straight from the TA, and since it's a 98, it should have the different steering ratio.
Won't putting V8 springs on the front raise it a bit?
Also, if you don't already have two fans on your radiator, get those.
Rob
Ya it'd raise it, I'm just putting the rears on to improve launching abit. Car came with 2 fans on the radiator, so that's all good. Only thing I'm worried about right now is finding axle seals. The kit I bought didn't come with them, and Advanced AutoParts doesn't carry them. I'm giving NAPA a call tomorrow morning, along with carquest to see if they have them, if not then I'm going to have to wait until they come in the mail before I get my car back  That and the rear sitting up higher with the new springs, giving it a raked look that may be ugly.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
