Did you get install instructions with your shocks?

If so, could you post a copy somehow?

rears are easy... Fronts I beelive I used a haynes manual...

A problem I ran into though on the fronts was the spring compressor, the little tabs that squeeze the springs were a little too big to squeze easily between the coils on the spring, I had to hammer them out, to get them out.

While we are talking shocks and springs, correct me if I'm wrong. Our front shocks (98-02 specifically) are inside the coil spring, or a coil-over setup, right?

Yes, just not adjustable. Also, it's the same setup from 93-02 just different spring rates and the such.

The Haynes manual should be able to get you through it. I have been trying to find a good walk through for you for the past few days but haven't come up with anything yet. If I find something I'll post it up.

The instruction i got are worthless. They are in 23 different laguages. Just go by how the stock shock bushings are installed and do the same with the bilstein.

Ok... I need to bust someones balls then. I tried to get my springs installed at Kauffman Tire and they quoted me $380. Over the phone, they quoted me $279 to do the shocks, which they verified in person as well. I questioned, when you do the shocks, don't the spring have to come out anyway? Why such a price difference? They claimed the shock ran beside the spring and the springs did not come off. I didn't believe them, questioned further and was asked to leave their facility. They are corporately operated and after all the cash I've dropped on them over many years and 6 cars, I'm gonna write their HQ a letter. Just want to make sure I'm right first.

Up front the car has a coil over shock setup. In the back the spring is indeed next to the shock, however it's a 2 minute change for the rear springs when the shocks are out.

                  Re: Bilstein Shock Install Instructions

The point to my question was specific to BILSTEIN shocks ONLY. The fronts come with an unattached "cap". Bilstein sent an EM attachment to me giving me what I wanted.

Shocks and Eibach Pro-kit springs were installed yesterday by my local shop. The top front shock mount was rusted and the rubber rotted, and had to be replaced. I'm glad I'm not in WI anymore.

ohh yeah that thing, It only really went on one way so I put it on.

AS for charging extra money to do springs with shocks... not really not much of a differnce in work, but I still see a shop charging for it.

Same problem I had when I changed by shocks and springs. It was rusted so bad I had to cut the shock in half with a hacksaw. I tried using a impact grade boltout kit but the socket broke in half! Both of my shock mounts were shot as well.
