Just picked these with used Firestone Firehawks up from a guy about 40 miles away from my house. They are in IMMACULATE condition. This may sound weird, but these have been my dream wheels ever since I got my car. The only blemish on the wheel was from the old wheel balancers on the face of the wheel. Washed them up really well when I got home tonight, and took some pictures for you guys. I want to get some spacers under the bump stops before I put them on, but this forum will be the first place I post pictures up.
So nice to finally see these sitting in my garage...
Those are a nice set of rims. I was eyeing those for the longest time before I decided to give up, just couldnt find them and shipping was insane from Ebay. I eventually just got the chrome Z06's and could not be happier. Even those do look pretty damn sharp on a Camaro.
Hopefully I'll get the on the car today. I'm gonna fab some bump stop spacers out of some 1/2 inch aluminum stock in the garage today and put on the wheels. Won't be driving it around too many places though because I have a misfire in one of my cylinders. I gotta change plugs and wires asap.
And as far as the price goes... Lets just say I paid less than $501
Yes, a great deal indeed. It's amazing how much difference a summer tire can change the handling of your entire car. I was on a smooth road today doing about 25, and started turning in a slalom kinda pattern, and I was ripping the wheel back and forth and the tires made no noise at all, and the car tracked everywhere I wanted it to. Those tires are great so far. Buying new tires for the car next summer and using my old snowflakes and the all-season tires during the colder months. I'm gonna wash the car real well tomorrow and take lots of pictures and post them up for you guys. Thanks for the compliments!
Just a couple months ago i pcked up a set of 17" SS rims as well except they had goodyear F1's on them. Wheels were just as clean as yours. i was so amazed at the condition they were in. i paid 5 bills for my set, and i couldn't be happier.
Yours look great too! When I was seriously getting into shopping for these wheels, it's almost like no one has them. All of the places that replicate wheels have never replicated these, and the people who actually want these wheels REALLY want these wheels. Like us...
Waiting for a few more paychecks before I lower it a little bit. Thinking Pro-Kit and Bilstein HD Revalves from Strano.
The set you picked up do look incredibly clean, im'm glad you are happy with them. When you get them on the car be sure to post some pics. I can only imagine how good those would look with a drop. I was lookin at a set of lowering springs but decided to go with a shift kit instead. I decided that my next purchase will be a set of hotchkis standard rate lowering springs. I dont really care for progressive rate springs myself.
Beautiful.
I have chrome SS's that came with my Catfish, but i am waiting for the stockers to wear out their tires commuting before I put them on.
Got some rust, but the little I have driven on them with the new g-Force BFGs on them was exciting...
Shortshifter is the best mod Ive done yet.
