Re: V8 rear springs in my V6?
2001 V6 and V8 springs are the same in the rear. If the "Z28" springs are different, where did you get them?Robert - owner www.FirebirdV6.com/CamaroV6.com

To answer your question, V8 springs would be an upgrade. I did 1LE's all the way around and loved it. They give you a firmer ride without having to worry about bottoming out all the time like you do with the aftermarket springs that lower the car.2000 3.8L Firebird, Silver Metallic

\"Yes, London. Re: V8 rear springs in my V6?
I've got Z-28 rears. My car's a 97 though. LIke Firebird GT said, the stock springs for 98+ in V6's should be the same as what's in the V8's, unless it's a 1LE or SS (not sure if it had suspension mods) or something. I got mine out of a 97 Z-28, along with the rear sway bar, and the car handles abit better. I know I have yet to bottom her out with the stiffer springs, where as with my old V6 springs, I'd bottom out quite often.~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~

Re: V8 rear springs in my V6?
If they are off a 93 Z28 then the spring rate is 110lbs. Your stock ones are 114lbs. So they will be almost the same but not quite as stiff. 1LE's are 360lb front, and a progressive rear rate of 130-180 making them a pretty decent spring set but I would not just swap on the rear 1LE rear springs and keep your stock fronts.2001 Arctic White Firebird With Black Drop Top

3:42 Gears
Zexel LSD
BMR upper A-Arms
Trans Am exhaust with 3\" I-pipe and cutout
Modified intake
Mecham Hood
Trans Go shift kit
Making rear control arms and panhard
