  • Bye 275/40ZR-17 Welcome 235/55R/16

275 caused me a lot of troubles: Vibration, rough driving, wasting time going back to the tire shop for rebalancing. I tried 2 sets: Hancook & Yokohamas and the problem wasn't solved. So I went back to 235's, and the sweet and smooth ride I had before came back. I turned back those wider tires and chrome wheels and no cost. The good thing is that I'm going to save a big buck, and invest it in headers, a higher flow catalyc, and 2.5 tubing for less than $350. Oh, I was forgetting, about the car pulling to the right side, I flushed the steering fluid before to replace tires and wheels: The pulling is gone, I don't know if it was the tires or the flush. I was checking back with you guys during all this tire experiment. Thank you for your feed back.

I have 255 right now and really like it, but I have to say the 235 was so smooth even compared to 255.

What kind of thread? In my new set of tires I preferred not to chose the agressive style. You know, just in case.

I had 275/40-17 Summer Bridgestones, got 245/50-16 All-Season Yokohamas, went back to 275/40ZR17 Ultra High Performance All-Season Kumho ECSTA ASX. Now those as the best!

i had 225/60s and went to 245/50s and the ride is about the same, maybe a tad less smooth, but a helluva lot quieter. Must be the tire design though.

I never thought I would see Camaro / Firebird and smooth ride in the same sentence.

they are noisy but they tend to be good tires from everyone I hear... including someone I know who sales tires.

Ultra performance tires DON'T last. I don't care about noise, only grip.

ehhh.... he is right ultra performance tires do not last....

My 275tlys would track a little bit, only complaint I had, but ride seemed, only slightly worse, probably do to the sidewall, and going to 17s.

I had 245s on for awhile after having 275s, and I was happy to get my 275s back, with 245s tires just lit up to easily especially in the rain. 275s, I am good to go.
