  • Tire Brand question

I have a 1999 Firebird Coup with the stock polished aluminum wheels. It came with 235/55 R16 and I want to know what the best tire to get for them if all I do is dry pavement driving and rainy wet pavement driving. I don't drive the car in the snow at all.

Potenza 960's have treated me very well. Good traction, long tread life.

OK so I'm looking at new tires as well soon and I gotta say this was one of the more vague things I've seen today. 3 diff opinions 3 totally diff tires. What are the costs associated with each of these sets?
Let's flip a coin. Heads I get tail, Tails I get head.

just dont get BFG tires, they have to be the crappiest tires ever made.

thanks to them, i almost wrecked my car every time it rained

I can look up the prices myself. I just wanted to get an idea of what most people used.

I assume you all have the stock wheels?? That is what I need tires for.

many tires are going to be available in whatever size you need. everyone is just going to recommend the tires they have on their own care (more or less...)

A good bet is to go over to tirerack.com and look at the ratings page behind each type of tire.

If youre looking for a good "bang for the buck tire" most people would steer your towards khumo's
