I don't have any pics, but if you search i'm pretty sure there's a writeup somewhere on here.
Fold your backseat down, take off the panels in the hatch, and pull the carpet back to the seats. There will be two white foam things on either side of hte car, take those off and the top shock bolt is right underneath. The bottom bolt is self explanatory.
thanks man. that hit the spot. my dad (im 17) was the one wanting the photos, but when you explained it like that it was extremely easy for me to do. thanks again.
You already did the swap? I was going to say that you dont actually have to pull the carpet all the way up. I noticed last time I had my seat laying down that there's a flap cut in the carpet on each side. You can pull them back to get to the foam, remove it, and then remove the nut off the shock. Dunno if it's supposed to be like that from the factory or not, but I noticed it on mine AFTER my shock install. The cut flaps look very much like factory.
hmmm i always wondered what that little flap in the carpet was for
DING DING DING DING!!!!!
Correct. If your rear shocks have been replaced, your carpet may have a flap cut. If they've never been replaced, look carefully at the carpet about three inches below where the big latching bolt for the rear seat is located. You will see a square pattern in the carpet. You simply score that line with a knife to allow the flap to open to provide access to the foam & shock bolt.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.
