  • Problem after lowering!

Ok, today I started to install the edelbrock spring/shock package I bought and am already having trouble with the rear.

The passenger side sits up 1" higher and that's after I shaved down the rubber piece on top of the spring. I've visually compared the two springs and they look the same. I tried swapping side to side with no luck.

Other stuff I installed today were LCA's, LCA relocation brackets, and an adj. panhard rod. But none of these should affect my ride height, right?

I forgot to measure before hand what the difference was originally but it definately wasn't as noticable as it is now. I've heard the passenger side of our cars do sit a little higher but not 1+ inches!
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Re: Problem after lowering!

I was reading a thread (I believe over at LS1), tried to find it again but couldnt. Anyway it was the page about lowering the rear (free mod). Other ppl were stating that one side of the car was higher. Some replies were that make sure the springs are in the same position as the other side. So my guess is to turn the springs until you get it where you want it. GL

thanks man, i did some searching over there I found a few more people with the problem. The springs are in the same position and the rubber on top is sitting correctly. Anybody else have any ideas?

oh yeah, i'll try spinning them tomorrow. Is there actually a correct position for them?
