last year I trashed my steering. both pump and rack were kaput. switched it all out by my lonesome and aligned it and the whole nine yards. so, i filled it with fluid, primed the pump, filled it again, and tried to bleed the system.
ever since, no matter how many times i've tried to bleed (on the ground or on jackstands) my car still does that stupid grinding sound and feel when i try to make 90* turns. I cant figure it out. It hasnt gotten any worse, and it only usually happens when i got my foot off the gas. if i'm gassing it, it TENDS to not happen or not happen as bad. What do you guys think? Parking for me is a nasty endeavor and i'm sick of hearing that grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound.
