  • cross drilled/slotted rotors and brakes?

i need to get new rotors and brake pads all the way around. i see all sorts of random cross/drilled slotted rotors on ebay for around 150 some include free brake pads. i saw "hawk" pads on there are they any good? what is a good performance pad to get for the money. i know slotted/drilled rotors are only for looks thats fine i like them. just some input would be helpful thanks guys.

hawk pads are ok, but the best pads that i found that you can get are the cheapest pad from autozone. they are the only pads i use. as for those rotors. i got the drilled and slotted rotors that where like 120 bucks from ebay. i haven't had a problem yet.

ha ha kristen, I have the same set up. be prepared to clean the slots in your rotors though, they get alot of brake dust in them. and I use the "performance friction" brake pads from auto zone. they work real well.

i won't know about the build up of dust lol since the camaro doesn't drive much. well i lie i went drag racing like 5 days in a row lol. but hey wash your car and you won't have to worry build up.

I have the HAWK HP+ and they were an improvement I felt over the autozone specials. Just my opinion though. I went with R1 concepts slotted cross drilled rotors and havn't had any problems over the last year with them.

Thats one of the mods I'll be doing when I get around to buying new wheels and going from drums to disc brakes.

get fully ceramic brake pads...if you get semi-ceramic then you'll still get brake dust

I've got ceramics on my Eclipse, they're wonderful with the dust. They do wear the rotor down faster, though.
